"Anna Agosta: Never Fall" is a documentary short about an up-and-coming Chicago artist pursuing her career. Created for a class, I learned a lot about the documentary process in working on this film from pre-production to post-production. During production, I learned valuable knowledge about how to get proper sound during a live performance by plugging in your recording device directly to the sound board and how to utilize proper interview technique including eye lines, distance from the background, and keeping your subjects engaged. During post-production, I enjoyed the challenge of piecing together a film from a lot of footage, as well as utilizing b-roll and concert footage as scenes themselves. I am very happy with the final product, and this film was selected to screen at Manifest Urban Arts Festival during the Viva La Docs program in May of 2018.
