This is an art sculpture that was created to capture my cultural identity. As an adoptee from Guatemala, My identity has always been a touchy area for me to communicate verbally. This piece was my solution to that issue. On the front side of the wood, I carved a Mesoamerican calendar, to represent my Guatemalan (birth) and on the backside a collage of my life in America, to represent my American adopted life.
