I created a marketing plan for a fictional release for the band Harvey Waters. It was largely inspired by the band's image, music, and goals for the future. I learned the many aspects of planning on album release cycle. This includes radio promotion, merchandising, utilizing social media and physical marketing, and crafting good promotional materials. The biggest challenges I had were crafting something that matched the status of a band that may not have the most amount of resources compared to many of the examples we observed in class. Overall, the marketing plan came out well despite some of its imperfections. It taught me how to craft plans even better going forward.
