HONEY MACHINE is a series of centos culled from the text of Sylvia Plath's ARIEL. The fragments of Plath's work are combined and recombined to create pieces that explore the domestic and marriage landscape juxtaposed again the self as a creative being and artist. The end result is a series of pieces with an almost suffocating zoetrope effect, a carousel offering glimpses that appear and reappear, but never come fully into focus. Segments of the project have appeared in Sweet Tree Review, Inter | rupture, Pretty Owl, and Tinderbox Poetry Journal The project also features collages created from vintage advertising images and textiles. The end product will be a zine projects incorporating both the written elements and the visual.
