This is a window display project I completed for my visual merchandising class at College of DuPage. The assignment was to create a lifestyle window based off of a famous painting. I chose "Bedroom in Arles" by Vincent Van Gogh, and translated it into a modern day dorm room/apartment. I really enjoyed the challenge of creating a diverse environment in a fairly small space, trying to utilize as many elements from the painting as possible without making the display seem to busy. I also upcycled almost all of the items in the display, by remaking things or finding discarded items and repurposing them.
