'Pizzaface!' is a horror/comedy short film starring Niko Dulin, Emma Brockman, Nick Doermann, Adam Prueher, and me (Riley Thorpe). It is written, directed, and edited by me as well. I also designed and edited the poster.

Inspired by my love for genre cinema, particularly that of violent, bloody, and gross slasher films of the 1980's. There have been a plethora of slasher movies throughout film history and many have tried finding a way to put a fresh spin on an otherwise over saturated genre. Because of this, it was my goal to satirize these films to achieve a comedic effect.
I have a deep fascination with combining horror and comedy because they are polar opposites, but in many ways two sides of the same coin. They both utilize tension in order to create the desired emotion, horror builds it while comedy releases it. I enjoy finding new ways to blend the two genres together to create hilarity while also building horrifying tension.
