In early 2020 when the pandemic hit, Columbia College Chicago musical artists, producers, engineers, and music business students banded together to support the music industry in these dire times by recording a special project to assist the COVID-19 Relief Fund through The Recording Academy and its affiliated charitable foundation, MusicCares.
This collaborative effort featured Columbia College Chicago artists recording songs from the public domain spanning the years 1900-1924 and putting their own unique twist to each recording.
A five-track ep was recorded and released on Gold Note Records in October 2020.
