PSEL Standard Artifact 7.B
This artifact is a copy of the spreadsheet of 8th grade students in danger of failing for the year at the end of the 2nd quarter. I created this spreadsheet in early February and shared it with the 8th grade team of teachers and administrator for the purpose of collaborating on interventions and supports for these students moving forward. I used report card data from the 1st and 2nd quarter to create the list. The list includes information about students with IEPs or 504 plans in addition to other interventions in place or in the process of being explored. This artifact demonstrates my competency with PSEL standard 7B because the data and its presentation promote mutual accountability and care among teachers, support staff, counselor and administrator to analyze data and consider interventions or best practices to promote each student’s academic success and well-being. The interventions explored for each student are individualized and intended to meet the unique needs of the student. The analysis of data and sharing out best practices promotes opportunities for teachers and staff to adjust or implement new instructional practices and follow the school’s system of tiered supports for students.
